The Biggest Moving Part on Your House

A garage door is the largest opening in most homes and often the least insulated. It's also the one your family uses more than the front door. Sizing, insulation, and opener choice matter more here than the panel style everyone shops for first.

What Matters

Insulation and Wind Rating, Not Just the Panel

An uninsulated door on an attached garage leaks conditioned air out of the house all winter and bakes the space all summer. If there's living area above or beside the garage, you feel it in that room every day.

We size the door to the opening, specify insulation value against how the garage is used, and check the wind rating for your exposure. On ridge lines and open lots east of the Springs that rating is not a formality, and a door that fails in a gust takes the tracks with it.

01

Insulation value chosen against how the garage is actually used.

02

Wind rating matched to your exposure, not to a default spec.

03

Springs, tracks, and openers sized for the door's real weight.

04

Opening, header, and weather seal checked before installation.

What We Install

Doors, Openers, and the Hardware Behind Them

Insulated Steel Doors

The practical default for most Front Range homes: durable, well insulated, and available in finishes that suit the house.

Carriage & Custom Doors

Timber and timber-look doors where the garage faces the street and the elevation deserves better than a flat panel.

Openers & Smart Controls

Belt-drive and direct-drive openers sized to the door, with phone control and battery backup where you want it.

Repairs & Replacement

Broken springs, bent tracks, failed openers, and worn weather seal, including doors damaged by hail or impact.

Questions

What Homeowners Ask First

Is an insulated door worth the extra cost?

If the garage is attached, or there's a room above it, yes, and you'll notice it. On a detached garage used purely for storage it matters far less, and we'll say so rather than upsell you.

My door is noisy. Does it need replacing?

Often not. Noise is usually rollers, hinges, or an aging chain-drive opener, all of which are far cheaper to address than a full door. We'll diagnose before recommending replacement.

Can hail damage be claimed on insurance?

Frequently yes, and garage doors are commonly missed in a roof claim even though they take the same hail. We can document the damage while we're assessing the rest of your exterior.

How long does replacement take?

Installation is usually a single day once the door arrives. Lead time on the door itself is the longer part, particularly for custom sizes or finishes.

Can you match a new door to my siding or trim?

Yes. Since we also handle siding and exterior painting, we can coordinate the door finish with the rest of the elevation rather than treating it as a separate purchase.
